Concept

The lighting design for the show dedicated to Maria Callas was crafted to create an engaging and emotional experience for the audience. Using 12 Astra Wash Pix lights with the pixel ring for dynamic and captivating effects during the walk-in and walkout, and 4 ETC Source 4 profile spotlights for precise shaping, ensured perfect stage illumination. Additionally, 10 frontal profile spotlights were employed to evenly light the orchestra and highlight the actress, Laura Morante, portraying Maria Callas, positioned on the right side of the stage.

The focus of the lighting design was to create scenes that smoothly balanced the musical moments of the orchestra with the actress’s theatrical performances. Impactful colors were used to engage the audience and accompany the emotions conveyed through acting and music. Light changes were carefully orchestrated to draw the audience’s attention to the key moments of the show, creating a captivating and immersive atmosphere that pays homage to the greatness of Maria Callas.
