“Dreams” is an ode to dreams, exploring not only the artistic journey of AIDA’s students but also the profound human and social impact of dance. The show moves along two parallel tracks: on one hand, it tells the story of the commitment and dedication of the students and their teachers, engaged in a process of artistic and personal growth; on the other hand, it conveys a message of solidarity, actively supporting the work of Compassion Italia. The choreography alternates between classical and contemporary styles, evoking through fluid and powerful movements the dream of a better world, full of opportunities and hope.
Lighting Design
The lighting design for “Dreams” was conceived to enhance the theatrical nature of the show, fully exploiting the architecture of the Teatro Arcimboldi. Five trusses suspended from the ceiling housed 12 Prolights Astra Wash Pix 19, used to create soft and dynamic atmospheres thanks to their wide zoom, and 12 Clay Paky Axcor Profile 600, chosen for their sharp projections and wide color spectrum. The backdrop was illuminated by 12 Prolights Sunblast 3000FC, capable of creating powerful bursts of light. To ensure a warm and precise front light, 20 ETC Source 4s with 10-degree lenses were used, while 6 booms placed on the sides of the wings, each equipped with 2 ETC Color Source profiles, defined sharp and dramatic light cuts. This setup contributed to adding depth and intensity to the dancers’ movements, perfectly integrating technique with the show’s visual narrative.
